Picked a random diner and this was the cutest. Loved the baseball hints throughout the restaurant and menu. Food was amazing. Service was so friendly.

Updated review 10/10/2020 Rode our bikes on the trail to stop in for some lunch. We sat outside and really just enjoyed ourselves. It was so comfortable. Service was good as always and food tasty! I tried the new club...sliced chicken, sliced ham, bacon, avocado on mulitgrain bread. Just wow! Good food. It's a cute mom and pop type of place. When you go you can expect pleasant faces but slower service (not a bad thing), it's the type of place you know when you are not in a rush.

Home Plate on the Trail is one of our favorite places for brunch. You can get there easily either by car or bicycle since it is right on the Pinellas Trail. The food is good with a few German inspired dishes, but mostly good versions of what you would expect for a breakfast/lunch place. Do try their flavored ice teas; delicious!

Perfect spot to hop off the trail and grab a bite to eat! Table ordered 2 philly cheesesteaks and 1 hashbrown casserole, both were very good but that hashbrown casserole was . Enjoyed some cold drinks after 5 miles of walking. Taylor, our waitress was wonderful, ask her about her beautiful flower necklaces. Make sure to sit outside on the patio if you can during the "cooler" days! The food was great and the prices were super reasonable.

The outdoor seating area on a nice day is great, just know there isn't much shade if the table umbrellas are not out. Food is great, atmosphere is great, service is outstanding (our server did great keeping up with our list of requests, including moving tables twice due to the sun). Coffee could improve.

Had a great lunch here. Back yard patio dining "on the Trail". A great menu - eclectic mix of German and Mexican - all authentic. I had Bratwurst - excellent. And don't forget a bottle if Hoffbrau beer - very tasty! I hear this place can get pretty crowded...for a good reason. Check it out!

These are the best waffles I have tasted in my entire life; soft with a hint of crisp and flavorful throughout the entire waffle. I also enjoyed a surprise as the cook is German and after spending 18 years in Germany, the schnitzel took me back.... Excellent service and food. It is a small quaint little place packed with personality and flavor! The prices were very reasonable. Better go before they realize how good they are... You must try this for breakfast and/or lunch. You won't be disappointed...
